This home is located in an enclave of private homes and only about 100 yards to your beach area and swimming dock. Although not directly beach front, it is very close and much less expensive.
Throughout are modern island finishes, tiled floors, Belizian hardwood ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen, linens, washing machine, Flatscreen TV/DVD, wifi, air conditioning, and a large swimming pool with loungers. The home is built of thick reinforced concrete floors and walls and to American/Canadian standards.
*The island breeze coming off of the ocean is refreshing on most everyday.
This is a quiet area, only a 5 minute bike ride to town, close to many wonderful restaurants, local groceries, and tiki cabana bars.
Abundant palm trees and floral foliage all around.
The beach area is one of only a few on the island. Our small private enclave decided to build a swimming dock/platform for your morning/afternoon most enjoyable dip in the sea. You can sit at the end of the dock and watch the reef break just offshore. Tropical fish are a daily event. If you are traveling on your own boat, you may reserve a spot at your dock if staying in the enclave.
The pool is 33'x15' wide with a Belizian hardwood wrap around deck. There are several chaise lounge chairs with cushions to sit by the pool and relax to recharge your batteries for your next adventure. The pool is shared with our 2 homes.
We have Sea kayaks and canoes for rent.
We also rent island bicycles to travel and tour about the island...a wonderful adventure for most any age! We have children's bikes, child carriers, and cribs upon request.

This was a perfect place to stay on the island! It has everything you could possibly need! Very clean, well kept, bikes were great to have, and AC works well. The last guests left coffee, and we are leaving a full bag and the rest of our liquor. We hope the next guests enjoy it here as much as we have! We will be back!
Caulker is a bustling area with many rentals throughout the island. Debbie and her staff ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay on the island. The condo/room is steps from the ocean and has a number of pools to relax in. Bikes, kayaks, A/C and water is provided to make the stay even more enjoyable. The walk to town is about 10-15min depending on where you want to go. Active nightlife on weekends, tours and ferry rides to other islands or Belize City made it a breeze to get around and fill our days. Would stay again.
All the basics are there and in good order: fridge/freezer, microwave, A/C, linens, kitchen items, washing machine. Pool is small but very clean and refreshing. Great for small kids. The grounds are very nicely maintained. The real benefit, however, is the outstanding staff. They are friendly, helpful, and a wealth of knowledge.
So many things to list about this great place! Micheal filled our refridgerator with a few things we had asked for our stay.... Gustavo was waiting for us as we got off the water taxi to take us to the suite. Cece made the check-in process very easy, and Don(?) had our bikes and locks ready for us to cruise around the island! The pool, the dock, the grounds, are just a perfect setting for a relaxing vacation!
We loved our stay in this cabin. It is a very solid building, made of concrete and completed with high end finishes. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed is comfortable & the water pressure was awesome. It is close enough to town to be really convenient, but far enough away to be really quiet. Michael is a great manager, personable & responsive. The pool we shared with the building next door was delightful. The only reason we didnt give it 5 stars is that it's well back from the beach, meaning there is no view, no breeze & as a result, the sand flies were pretty bad while we were there. Otherwise, it is a beautiful apartment! We'd gladly stay there again.
Clean and comfortable. Fantastic deck and pool in a safe and friendly complex next to the sea. Accessible to everything on this small island. Debbie is a great hostess! baie dankie! sad that the rest of the caye does not adhere to similar standards of cleanliness. The litter is shocking! Be prepared for this side of paradise!
Debbie's Caribbean Sunrise Suite blew away our expectations. It was clean, safe, accommodating, and conveniently located (far enough from the busy part of Caye Caulker to feel secluded but still close enough to walk to any part of the island (10-20 min walk). Michael and the rest of the staff are the friendliest people you will ever meet. My wife and I got to know the grounds crew and property maintenance guys well too just in passing. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and hospitable. We had an overall good experience at the local stores and restaurants. There is a kitchen so we were able to buy groceries and make some meals together. Rose's (the most popular restaurant on the island) and a smaller Belizean joint right above the very popular sports bar were both excellent date night decisions. Great, fresh seafood. The place above the sports bar was VERY affordable at dinner too. There is a pizza place as well that was a good break in the local food to get a taste of home one night. Pizza was actually pretty decent! Caye Caulker has a fun atmosphere for any vacationer. Excellent choice for our honeymoon. Whether you are looking for a more immersive vacation experience living on an island and making new friends in the caribbean or a simply a romantic getaway right next to the ocean, the Caribbean Sunrise Suite is the perfect choice for any type of vacation.
This property is right on. We truly enjoyed the room itself, but what really made it great for us were the grounds of the property. It's a beautiful, tranquil tucked away enclave. The swimming pools were fantastic and we felt safe and secure with our two small children the entire stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the dock and beach area were tidy and well maintained. We spent 4 days on the island and rode our bikes all around. We didn't see anywhere on the entire island that we felt like would have been a more enjoyable or aesthetically pleasing place to stay. Do yourself a favor and book a room here.
We enjoyed our stay at Caribbean Sunrise Suite in Caye Caulker. It provided the the comfortable home base for our stay. We likes the Belizean hardwood ceiling and the modern decor. The kitchen contained everything needed to cook. The appliances were very nice and the air was great. Michael and Ceci were lovely and helpful. Ceci's recommendation, Carlos' Tours, for snorkeling was spot-on! The pool and the dock were great.
We were very comfortable in the Caribbean Sunrise Suite. The studio had all the basics covered with some lovely touches such as a Belizean hardwood ceiling. The pool and dock areas were very pleasant. The air worked very well. Ceci and Michael were so nice and helpful and made us feel most welcome.
The suite we stayed in was fairly modern and very comfortable. Renting bikes was easy from the very friendly staff, and the suite is in a great location. It's just a short walk or bike ride to the center of town. Definitely recommended! Naturally, the seafood (especially Wish Willy's) is great on the island, and while you're there, be sure to also try the restaurant, Pasta Per Caso.
This was my first time to Caye Caulker and I am so glad I chose to stay here. The compound that this suite resides in is the nicest on the island. The unit was lovely. A/C worked great and it had everything you would need. When I was there it was pretty empty, I barely saw any other people wandering the compound so I had the pool and dock to myself for the most part. I used the bike very day to ride around the island and down to the Split. I was staying alone, so the onsite security guard made me feel better. The walk home at night is quite dark, but I did it without any issues. I will definitely come back to the island and to this house!
The manager, Michael, greeted us at the door and was genuinely warm and friendly! He walked us through everything we needed to know (Wi-Fi access, hidden room safe access code, provided 5 gallon purified water, clothes washer, etc..). The tap water is chlorinated city water, so it's safe, but they provide purified water cause it tastes better. Bikes are already at the property and only $5 US per day and made it so convenient to get everywhere on the island! The room is so beautiful, the hardwood ceiling alone was awing! Everything you need is provided to make your own meals if you like, which we did often for breakfast and lunch. Definitely go to Chan's Marketplace for your groceries as it is the cleanest market we found with all items clearly marked. The rental homes in this private enclave share a pool between every other home, so you still feel private as not everyone uses same pool. Pool was very clean and plenty of cushioned lounge chairs are provided. It looks exactly as pictured! It's truly a short walk to the ocean and the pier with the path being a beautiful treat of it's own with plenty of landscaped flora! I must say we loved the pier the best! It's just as pictured with the huge palapa and lounge chairs, but what you can't see in the picture is how much cooler you feel being out there with the tradewinds! Steps down to water for swimming. I snorkeled from pier and saw bright , small yellow fish at dock steps, larger fish under dock, a 2 ft. starfish on the sea grass, and a stingray went by me on one day as well! Now, there was construction next to us in the complex, but they only worked 8-5 and were very respectful and some even always said hello to us! It did not detract from our stay as we were up early every morning anyway with so much to see and do on the island. I had the best time here and loved our rental as it felt like we had our own island home!! Highly recommend!
We loved our stay. The place was clean, comfortable and perfect for just the two of us. We loved the pier. We spent a lot of time on the pier. Michael, Cici and Victor were great. They made us feel like we were special renters. I could go on and on about them but would make my review too long. This was our third visit to the island and when we go back we will be staying here again.
We spent 7 nights in the studio and found it to be quiet, comfortable and convenient. It's a short walk to the center of town, and having the bikes available at any time is a huge plus. From here, we explored the island on the bikes, snorkeled and swam off the dock, relaxed by the pool, and kayaked to the south end of the island. One of our snorkeling tour operators brought us right to the dock at the end of our trip. The kitchen is fully equipped, but didn't get much use, given the nice restaurants on the island. The quiet and air conditioning make for good sleeping. Michael was helpful and friendly always. We would definitely return.
Had a great time and the studio was great. The experience started amazingly with Michael (who is awesome) sent a taxi for us. The room is clean, super comfortable for the 4 of us. the kitchen area is quite large. We only were there two nights but still was great. Location wise for me was great since it is a little bit far away from the main buzz but it is a 10 min walk max and i prefered to stay away and lounge in our very own dock with loungers; and go to the centre when we wanted. I would definitely go back to the same place and stay for a week! Michael arrange the bikes for us and was super nice. Debbie was very quick in answering questions.
This was our second visit to Belize and our first stay at Caribbean Sunrise Suite. The studio was beautifully decorated with wood trim everywhere. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of lounge space with the futon on kitchen dinette. WE LOVED the long dock that took you right into the Caribbean - past the seaweed- so you could swim. There were plenty of lounge chairs and a palapa if you needed to get out of the sun. When we tired of the sea we headed to the pool which was right out back of our studio. We has a small issue with the bathroom and internet but Michael was the perfect manager and took care of any issue that we had. It did not impact our stay and they only reason I mentioned it was to note the excellent customer service we received. Things can happen so that is extremely important - we will be back!
